A large international engineering company based in Selby JHB requires a Sales Representative to promote their full range of Electrical products within the Mining, Power, Renewable Energy, and related sectors.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a formal electrical qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar sales position.
• Valid driver's license.
• Sage experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities include:

• Travel within the sales territory to meet prospective and existing customers.
• Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers.
• Prepare quotations and tenders for standard catalogue items.
• Record all order details accurately in the Sage system, including customer name, product code, price, contact details, and delivery address.
• Manage and release customer back-orders; each salesperson is responsible for their own backorders and customer service.
• Follow up on quotes, tenders, and projects.
• Close sales and provide after-sales service.
• Promote products, including providing product training.
• Communicate customer satisfaction and handle complaints.
• Inform customers about product updates, new products, and price changes.
• Negotiate prices and discounts within set parameters.
• Collect and evaluate customer credit applications and assess their business operations.
