Job Purpose

To provide specific insights into all the functions of the Nedbank Group to enable informed decision-making at all levels.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Conduct research by undertaking and documenting feasibility and impact studies.
  2. Create a proposed solution based on the Business Requirements Definition (BRD).
  3. Produce a High-Level Design (HLD) using the BRD.
  4. Deliver final solution by obtaining customer acceptance and sign-off.
  5. Support the team by performing a Business Analyst role, maintaining relevant documentation, SharePoint sites, Jira, etc.
  6. Communicate effectively on progress, status updates, and next steps.
  7. Participate in Nedbank culture-building initiatives and corporate social responsibility programs.
  8. Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and policies; support their implementation.
  9. Engage with clients to agree on proposed solutions as contained in the HLD document.
  10. Conduct regular feedback sessions with developers to ensure alignment with technical specifications.
  11. Build collaborative relationships by assisting the team with technical resolutions.
  12. Adhere to the customer engagement model, communicating new or changed solutions.
  13. Maintain customer satisfaction through regular feedback and defining operational level agreements (OLAs).
  14. Ensure timely completion of work by adhering to deadlines.
  15. Gather and document business requirements by facilitating information sessions with clients.
  16. Produce technical specifications by analyzing data sources, documenting business rules, and designing dimensional models and cubes.
  17. Explain the design to developers through technical sessions.
  18. Create report/dashboard specifications by engaging with clients and developers.
  19. Ensure quality and requirement alignment through testing (unit, integration, user acceptance).
  20. Maintain compliance with standards, policies, and procedures throughout development.
  21. Stay informed about legislation and industry changes impacting the role.
  22. Demonstrate Nedbank's vision and values in interactions with the team and stakeholders.
  23. Enhance personal capabilities through training and feedback, pursuing career growth.
  24. Ensure all learning activities, certifications, and experiences are completed within specified timeframes.
  25. Share knowledge and maintain effective communication with stakeholders and team members.
Essential Qualifications
  • NQF Level Diploma
  • 2-3 years experience in IT, BI, or Data environment
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Diploma, Certificate, or Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
  • Certifications in STEM or Data-related fields
  • Proficiency in SQL (Intermediate level)
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures, stakeholder management, business principles, and industry trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software systems
  • Understanding of research methodologies, decision-making processes, and business writing skills
