Cape Town | Fixed-Term Contract | R10,000 basic + 10% commission

An established Cape Town-based business owner is seeking a reliable, organised, and trustworthy individual to assist with a large-scale personal downsizing and sales project. This role involves managing the sorting, cataloguing, and sale of various personal and household items — including vehicles, furniture, equipment, and general goods — as part of a home redevelopment.

This is a fixed-term opportunity that may evolve into a permanent sales role within one of the group’s companies for the right person.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for:

• Sorting and categorising assets from home and storage locations
• Photographing, describing, and pricing items
• Listing and managing sales on platforms such as Marketplace, Gumtree, etc.
• Coordinating logistics and collections
• Managing items for disposal or donation

You will work independently, with trust and initiative being key.

Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
• Minimum 5 years’ verifiable work experience with contactable references
• Demonstrated personal integrity and reliability
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong organisational and sales instincts
• Experience using online classifieds or sales platforms is advantageous

Compensation

• R10,000 per month basic, subject to a minimum of R50,000 in sales per month
• 10% commission on all sales completed
• Successful candidates can reasonably earn a multiple of the above in this role and potentially more if appointed into a structured business role thereafter, depending on performance.

Future Opportunity

There is strong potential for this to transition into a full-time sales or support role within one of the group’s companies.
