Job description

Our client seeks to appoint a professional service provider to investigate allegations, complaints, and queries about the grievance process (project-based position).

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Review the complaint and related documentation.
  • Conduct preliminary interviews with involved parties and witnesses.
  • Gather evidence such as emails and reports.
  • Interview all relevant parties to understand perspectives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure interviewees feel safe to speak.
  • Analyze data for patterns and assess the accuracy of the grievance.

DELIVERABLES

  • Prepare a detailed report summarising investigation findings.
  • Provide actionable recommendations including remedial actions, policy changes, and training suggestions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to the CEO concisely.

GOVERNANCE ARRANGEMENTS

  • The appointed legal expert will be assisted by Human Resource Management.
  • The Acting Senior Manager : HRM is responsible for project coordination.

REPORTING

  • The service provider will report to the Chief Executive Officer.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years in labour relations, examples of successful CCMA arbitration awards, and recent cases.
  • Relevant qualifications in law, labour relations, or HR.
  • Professional Memberships : registration with CCMA or SAUEO and an employer's organisation
