Introduction

To develop and support software tailored to the needs of the JSE, aiding the business in achieving its strategic objectives.

Results Delivery

1. Contribute to crafting the departmental business plan to ensure focus areas are delivered annually in support of the IT strategy.
2. Apply cost-effectiveness principles in planning and delivery to meet financial targets.
3. Provide input into the formalisation of the divisional budget and manage allocated budgets by tracking costs.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

Build strategic relationships within the JSE, industry, and globally by leveraging social media, attending conferences, and training. Maintain ongoing collaborative relationships with business units through structured processes and ad hoc contacts to understand needs and deliver solutions. Engage in relevant meetings with developers, testers, business analysts, and project managers to share knowledge and understand business requirements.

Process Management

1. Manage own delivery against plans, identifying obstacles and taking appropriate actions.
2. Conduct technical impact analysis on business requirements to determine project scope and delivery methods.
3. Develop software using relevant coding and design patterns, conduct unit testing, and create supporting documentation.
4. Assist with deployment, support user acceptance testing, resolve production queries, and ensure system stability and reliability.
5. Ensure all processes, including change management and automation, are followed and documented.

Minimum Qualifications
