Job description

Position Focus and Responsibilities

This position's primary focus will be to ensure FSSC ongoing certification and to continuously improve the system's effectiveness. It involves management of the Lab and Product Quality, and responsibilities include implementing, monitoring, auditing, and managing the Environmental Management System based on ISO principles.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting internal audits on systems such as FSSC and IP handling.
  2. Report writing and implementing effective corrective actions.
  3. Providing feedback to management.
  4. Ensuring successful external audits by customers and certification bodies to achieve certification and supplier approval.
  5. Maintaining world-class hygiene practices as per ISO standards.
  6. Managing the lab, including ensuring the efficiency of lab equipment, monitoring quality, record keeping, and statistics.
  7. Handling quality assurance and daily product reviews and reporting.
  8. Conducting sample analysis at external and internal labs, assessing COAs with trend analysis.
  9. Liaising with customers regarding complaints, performing root cause analysis, identifying corrective and preventive actions, and following up on their effectiveness.
  10. Providing training on areas of responsibility.
  11. Conducting meetings and information sessions for communication.
  12. Managing document control and preparing statistics to measure system performance against targets.
  13. Preparing business review papers and other reports for senior management evaluation.
  14. Performing internal audits on Environmental Management (ISO).
Skills & Qualifications
  • Relevant qualification with at least 5 years of experience as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Previous experience in implementing a GFSI Food Safety System.
  • Outstanding internal auditing skills on FSSC (or any other GFSI system).
  • Internal auditing experience on ISO is advantageous.
  • Lab management experience.
  • Report writing, investigative, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Driver's license.
