Job description

Control Room/Armour Operator – Grade A and B

Vacancies exist for Control Room Operators stationed at Vanderbijlpark at one of Fidelity Security's High-Risk Sites. The position reports to the Site Manager. The main purpose of the role is to ensure surveillance operations and provide reports on them.

Requirements
  1. PSIRA Grade B/A registration and renewal.
  2. Firearm Competency - Short/Handgun and Rifle.
  3. NKP (National Key Point) – advantageous.
  4. At least 3-5 years of active experience in a Control Room environment.
  5. Proficient in computer applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, WhatsApp) and quick to learn new software.
  6. Firearm Competency for Business Purposes – advantageous.
  7. Strong administrative skills.
  8. Security experience – observing, acting, and reporting.
  9. Excellent observation and reporting skills.
  10. Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  11. Contactable references.
  12. No criminal record (verification required).
  13. Reliable with sober habits.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Establish and maintain effective risk management.
  2. Build and sustain an information network to investigate crime threats.
  3. Implement risk management processes to identify and mitigate crime factors.
  4. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
  5. Manage all aspects of the control room.
  6. Update the incident register daily.
  7. Exercise discipline at all times.
  8. Control key management.
