Our client, a leading company in equipment solutions, is on the lookout for a skilled and dependable Plastic Injection Moulding Technician to join their technical team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with complex machinery, has an eye for detail, and is ready to take ownership of machine maintenance and performance. Based in Randfontein, this role plays a key part in ensuring smooth operations and minimizing downtime across the production line.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections and daily maintenance on injection moulding equipment to prevent potential issues.
• Create and manage scheduled service checklists to ensure timely servicing of all machines.
• Prepare detailed maintenance summaries and submit periodic updates to management.
• Respond promptly to mechanical or operational failures, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Provide bi-weekly technical reports to the head office, ensuring clear communication on equipment performance and servicing.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in plastic injection moulding, specifically in a machine setting and maintenance role.
• Proven troubleshooting ability and practical knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Previous exposure to pneumatic systems, electrical components, or mechanical fitting is a plus.
• Familiarity with Toshiba injection moulding machines is advantageous.
• Own reliable transport is required to commute to the site.
• Tertiary qualifications are not essential—skills, experience, and a proactive attitude take priority.
