• Candidates will need to complete an aptitude test to be submitted at the same time as the CV.

Key Purpose

Designs, develops, and implements WSO2 applications to support business requirements. Follows approved lifecycle methodologies, creates design documents, writes code, and performs unit and functional testing of software. Contributes to the overall architecture and standards of Vitality Group, acts as a platform product SME, and plays a software governance role.

Requirements Analysis, Documentation & Design Skills

Work closely with Business Analysts to analyze and understand the Business Requirements and Business Case, producing simple, cost-effective, and innovative solution designs.

Design and implement solutions in accordance with Vitality Group standards, processes, tools, and frameworks, including:

1. Integration solutions using WSO2 Enterprise Integrator.
2. REST / SOAP APIs using WSO2 API Manager.
3. Authentication / Authorization solutions using WSO2 Identity Server.

Test the quality of software through code reviews, static code analysis, unit tests, functional regression tests, load and stress tests, and evaluate performance metrics.

Participate in feasibility studies, proof of concepts, JAD sessions, estimations, and review programming methods, tools, and standards.

Maintain systems in Non-Production and Production environments, providing support such as query resolution and defect fixes.

Prepare technical documentation including payload definitions, class diagrams, activity diagrams, ERDs, and operational/support documentation.

Drive skills development, coaching team members for performance and career growth, recruitment, staff training, and performance management.

Ensure security best practices are adhered to across all implementations and interactions with external systems.

Education and Experience

Required :

NQF Level 5 : Certified in a 3-year National Diploma, BSc Computer Science, or BCom Information Systems (or similar).

Experience :

Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing integration solutions with ESB technologies (WSO2, TIBCO, Apache Camel).
