We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Worker / Handyman for a renowned company in Port Elizabeth to fill the position of General Maintenance Office Assistant.
Requirements:
- Previous maintenance experience
- Previous administration experience
- Valid driver's license
- Matric qualification is essential
- The position is suited for a male candidate due to the nature of the role
Responsibilities:
Maintenance:
- Repairs and maintenance of the office building and related premises, including borehole, pumps, generator, diesel tanks, and bowzers
- Assist and coordinate minor renovations
- Assist with filling diesel tanks and bowzers
- Check and control maintenance equipment and stock
- Supervise general workers for grounds maintenance and cleaning
Company Vehicles:
- Assist with vehicle maintenance and registration
- Maintain updated travel logs
- Ensure vehicles are clean and report damages
- Monitor vehicle service schedules
Driving:
- Perform tasks as a driver, including post collection, deliveries, and staff transport
- Assist with payments and purchases using the company credit card
- Coordinate document stamping for contracts
Administration:
- Manage staff access codes
- Update milk control sheets and diesel usage records
Car Wash:
- Manage vehicle movement to and from the wash bay
- Oversee bookings and payments for car wash services
Purchasing:
- Assist with procurement and record keeping
Housekeeping:
- Maintain hygiene standards and safety regulations
- Supervise cleaning staff performance
Special Projects:
- Assist with management-led projects and event arrangements
