Job Purpose

Responsible for providing guidance to different business areas on the Architectural Integration Strategy, including collaboration with various business areas regarding their integration initiatives, understanding those initiatives, and relaying any identified gaps to the Enterprise Architecture team. Acts as an advocate and liaison with Information Services Technology operational teams and Centres of Excellence to identify technology requirements and research solutions. Drives RFP processes from initiation to fulfillment for technology selections. Identifies operational opportunities and develops architectures aligned with the enterprise strategy and vision. Serves as the senior architect in the Integration asset domain, providing architectural input into Programme Increment Planning, and establishing integration guardrails, reference architectures, and roadmaps.

Provides leadership and vision for optimizing and rationalizing the Integration domain to increase capability, achieve IT cost savings, and improve IT service levels. Offers mentorship and coaching on Integration domain technologies to architecture and technical teams within the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Define current state capability architectures.
  2. Define future state capability architectures.
  3. Develop a roadmap for transforming from current to future state architectures.
  4. Understand and align with emerging technologies in the Integration domain.
  5. Define and enforce capability architecture principles, guardrails, and roadmaps.
  6. Define and enforce domain standards.
  7. Determine domain technical debt rating.
  8. Participate in architecture governance forums such as Review Board and Solution Alignment Forum.
  9. Provide consultation to programs, ensuring projects are on time, within budget, and of high quality.
  10. Engage with the user community.
  11. Become the preferred technology advisor for business units.

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in Information Technology or Engineering in Information Technology.

Preferred Certifications

  • Degree or honors in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Cloud certification.
  • TOGAF or Zachman certification.
  • ArchiMate certification.

Minimum Experience Level

  • At least 5 years of architecture-related experience as an Integration Domain Architect or Integration Enterprise Architect.
  • Banking experience.
  • Experience with Hyper Automation in Integration is highly beneficial.
  • Experience with Integration Architectures including Message Queueing, Enterprise Service Bus, Managed File Transfer, WAS, IIB, Web Services Frameworks, and other IBM Integration Products.
  • Experience architecting CloudPak for Integration.
  • Applying BIAN principles to Integration.
  • Advanced knowledge of hardware, software platforms, and integrated information systems.
  • Basic security architecture knowledge.
  • Ability to present information effectively to top management and boards.
  • Experience with Event Frameworks, API/JSON/REST, and SOAP.
  • Knowledge of TOGAF.
