Job Title / Role : System Engineering Project Manager

Role Headline

Designs, develops, and manages customer Automation / Control system projects across various industries, according to customer standards and industry norms.

Responsibilities of the Role
  • Consults with customers on technical solutions alongside Sales or Key Account Managers.
  • Clarifies customer targets, requirements, and specifications in RFPs.
  • Prepares for tenders and leads negotiations both technically and commercially.
  • Coordinates project planning and resource allocation.
  • Ensures specifications are clear and liaises with internal Project Managers.
  • Monitors milestones, budgets, and initiates corrective actions.
  • Maintains communication with customers and stakeholders.
  • Leads technical system design, including onsite installation and commissioning.
  • Coordinates commissioning measures onsite with Site Engineering Management.
  • Leads hardware design and component integration.
  • Involved with onsite commissioning to ensure system integrity.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, preferably in instruments and controls.
  • Industry-recognized Project Management accreditation (preferred).
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in electrical panel design, construction, and operation in an industrial environment.
  • Proven track record in delivering complex engineering solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Siemens products, drives, and switchgear.
  • Familiarity with NEC 3, Fidic, JBCC contracts (advantageous).
  • Cross-border experience in Africa (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and E-plan (advantageous).
