Candidates must have commercial experience, ideally in a trading company.

This role will suit a candidate seeking strategic input and professional growth.

Responsibilities & Duties

1. Participate in the strategic management of the company.
2. Provide accurate reporting to management and the holding company, including:

• Monthly financial reporting packs to the holding company.
• Monthly exco pack (including management accounts) ahead of exco meetings.
• Preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, weekly profit forecasts, and cash flow forecasts.

Manage related commercial reporting.

Effectively manage working capital.

Run external and internal audits.

Manage submission of annual tax returns, monthly VAT returns, and all related tax compliance.

Oversee BEE reporting and compliance.

Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure effective internal controls.

Provide high standards of financial controls and strong financial leadership.

Ensure adherence to holding company reporting standards and policies.

Develop and maintain effective relationships and communication with subordinates, sales staff, group finance, and executive management.

Qualifications & Experience

• CA (SA) qualification.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Tax regulations.
• Minimum of six years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Proven track record in financial management.
• Expertise in financial planning and control, preferably with import and distribution exposure (including treasury and forex).
• Strategic management exposure and well-developed business acumen.
• High level of IT literacy and experience with information systems management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
