Job Description :

Join our client's dynamic team as a Legal Risk and Compliance Officer, where you will play a critical role in providing legal and compliance support to a vast property portfolio. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with high-profile properties and international investments, fostering growth and ensuring robust governance. You will be instrumental in driving compliance initiatives and supporting the strategic vision of the company.

Responsibilities :

  1. Provide efficient and effective Company Secretarial services to the Board and Committees.
  2. Guide directors on statutory and fiduciary duties and support compliance with the Companies Act.
  3. Administer Board meetings documents and ensure adherence to corporate governance.
  4. Advise on legal and regulatory requirements and support communication with regulatory bodies.
  5. Draft, review, and manage property-related contracts and litigation.
  6. Implement and manage risk identification, assessment, and monitoring processes.
  7. Facilitate communication with key stakeholders and manage AGM administration.

Requirements :

  • Relevant tertiary qualification: LLB (must have).
  • Chartered Governance Institute qualification (nice to have).
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a legal and corporate secretarial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with Board and committee administration in the property sector (nice to have).
