Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive, and resilient individual with strong knowledge of transformation legislation to join the Group as a Transformation Manager. You will be responsible for developing and managing the Group’s Transformation strategy under the guidance of the Executive: People and Culture. You will provide tactical advice on critical interventions and initiatives aimed at supporting the Group’s Transformation plans, including BBBEE, EE, and Skills Development.

Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE)
  • Develop and manage the Group’s BBBEE strategy.
  • Compile and submit BBBEE reports and scorecards for executive review.
  • Implement the Group’s BBBEE plan and monitor progress across departments.
  • Coordinate and interpret the Black Economic Empowerment Framework within the Group, integrating it into policies and procedures such as procurement and employment equity.
  • Research best practices and report findings to stakeholders.
  • Manage risks associated with BBBEE target achievement.
Employment Equity (EE)
  • Chair the EE and Skills Development Committee.
  • Oversee EE processes, ensuring projects are budgeted and executed properly.
  • Ensure EE reporting complies with legislation and deadlines.
  • Organize and document EE Committee meetings.
  • Prepare and recommend EE plans for executive approval.
  • Ensure timely submission of EE reports to the Department of Labour.
  • Monitor and evaluate EE plan implementation.
  • Report EE statistics regularly to relevant committees.
  • Oversee EE stakeholder training and assist with DOL audits.
  • Develop change management strategies for transformation initiatives.
Team and Department Management
  • Manage the transformation department in line with policies, standards, and legal requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate departmental performance.
  • Safeguard personal information in compliance with POPI.
  • Develop manpower capabilities and succession plans.
  • Mentor team members and foster a high-performance environment.
  • Address operational risks and opportunities proactively.
  • Manage departmental budgets effectively.
