Purpose of Job

Execute the fuel distribution function’s strategy, objectives, and goals, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and processes to meet customer needs. Guarantee adherence to ISO / OHSAS / responsible care legal and environmental standards. Oversee timely, accurate, and safe fuel deliveries, manage operational risks, and address challenges such as shortages, system failures, and price fluctuations. Ensure compliance with legislation and governance, particularly regarding fuel theft.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure compliance with overtime policies.
• Support employee development and disciplinary actions.
• Manage absenteeism and refer employees to EAP as needed.
• Coordinate and verify fuel deliveries, maintain communication with the Logistics Command Centre.
• Report incidents and implement corrective measures.
• Manage operating costs within budget.
• Implement cost reduction initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, including OSHACT requirements.
• Ensure SHE audits and SQAS compliance, improve SHERQ results.
• Manage customer documentation and resolve deviations.
• Ensure governance and compliance with legislation and policies.
• Implement controls to prevent economic crimes like fuel theft.
• Assist with contingency planning for labor actions and price fluctuations.
• Participate in contingency plans for product shortages.
• Apply evidence-based SHE practices for safe operations.
• Implement risk management frameworks and build stakeholder relationships.
• Continuously develop personal skills and knowledge.
