Job description

Our client is a market leader in the retail and pharmaceutical sector, renowned for innovation, customer-centricity, and operational excellence. As part of a major digital transformation initiative, they are investing heavily in SAP technologies, particularly S / 4HANA , to modernize and streamline core business processes across supply chain, finance, merchandising, and omni channel retail operations.

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned SAP Solutions Architect with strong expertise in SAP S / 4HANA and Retail solutions. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing end-to-end SAP landscapes and solution architectures that align with the business goals and IT strategy. This role demands deep functional and technical understanding of SAP environments, integration best practices, and a solid background in the retail and pharmaceutical domains.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and architecture of scalable SAP solutions across modules such as MM, SD, FICO, Retail, and CAR.

Define and govern the S / 4HANA roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles.

Collaborate with business stakeholders and process owners to translate business requirements into functional SAP solutions.

Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and integration approaches within the SAP ecosystem.

Guide the migration from legacy systems to SAP S / 4HANA, ensuring minimal business disruption.

Partner with delivery teams to ensure architectural integrity throughout design, development, and deployment.

Provide expert input into RFPs, vendor assessments, and technical due diligence.

Stay updated on SAP innovations (RISE with SAP, SAP BTP, Embedded Analytics, etc.) and guide adoption strategies.

Skills & Experience Required

10+ years of experience in SAP architecture, including full lifecycle implementations.

Deep expertise in SAP S / 4HANA, ideally with at least one full S / 4HANA implementation in a retail setting.

Strong domain knowledge in retail operations, including merchandising, supply chain, POS integration, inventory, and pricing.

Experience in pharmaceutical industry processes (e.g., regulatory compliance, batch traceability) is a strong advantage.

Familiarity with SAP Retail solutions such as SAP CAR, SAP F&R, SAP MDG, and SAP Hybris (Commerce Cloud).

Strong knowledge of integration approaches using SAP PI / PO, CPI, and API management tools.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business outcomes.

TOGAF certification or similar architectural frameworks is a plus.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

SAP certifications in relevant modules (e.g., SAP S / 4HANA, SAP Retail) are highly desirable.
