Job summary

Recruitpro Solutions is seeking an EPlan designer to join our engineering team in South Africa. The role focuses on electrical design for MV/LV systems and preparation of project documentation for mining, water treatment, and other sectors.

You will develop single-line diagrams, schematics, MCCs, and control panels, perform load calculations, coordinate with PLC/SCADA engineers, and support FAT/SAT and commissioning, ensuring SA standards and client specs are met.

Responsibilities

• Design MV and LV electrical distribution systems.
• Produce detailed electrical engineering designs and project documentation.
• Develop single-line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Design MCCs, distribution boards and control panels.
• Prepare cable schedules, termination drawings and equipment layouts.
• Specify electrical equipment and prepare procurement documents.
• Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing and protection coordination.
• Design and integrate industrial control systems.
• Collaborate with PLC, SCADA and Automation Engineers during execution.
• Provide engineering support during manufacturing, installation and commissioning.
• Assist with FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
• Ensure designs comply with South African standards and client specs.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
