Job summary

AtripleA recruitment & temps is seeking an experienced E&I Clerk of Works / Project Manager to lead full-time onsite EPCM projects in Gauteng, Pretoria. You will act as Package Engineer, ensuring E&I activities meet quality and compliance standards.

Candidates should have a Diploma or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, 6+ years in project management within mining/plant environments, and be adept at scope, BOM, procurement, and commissioning support.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with relevant experience.
• B.Tech/B.Eng in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred.
• Formal project management training is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage E&I aspects of on-site EPCM projects.
• Act as Package Engineer for onsite and office-based projects.
• Prepare Scope of Work (SOW) and BOM for RFQs and enquiries.
• Evaluate and adjudicate tenders; recommend contractors.
• Ensure E&I designs comply with SANS standards and company specs.
• Coordinate design reviews with engineers and multi-disciplinary team.
• Manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, and QA throughout project lifecycle.
• Support design, procurement, implementation, testing and commissioning.

Job Title: E&I Clerk of Works / Project Manager

Location: Pretoria

Job Overview

To manage full-time onsite Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) EPCM projects, fulfilling the role of Package Engineer and ensuring all E&I project activities meet company standards, quality, and compliance requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

• Manage all E&I spects of projects executed by the Projects Department.
• Act as Package Engineer for onsite and office-based EPCM projects.
• Prepare Scope of Work (SOW) and Bill of Materials (BOM) for RFQs and enquiries.
• Evaluate and adjudicate tenders; recommend suitable contractors.
• Verify that all E&I designs comply with SANS standards
• Company standards and specifications
• Design criteria, document numbering systems, and tag naming conventions
• Facilitate design reviews with company engineers.
• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality control, and quality assurance throughout the full project lifecycle:
• Design
• Procurement
• Implementation
• Punching
• Testing & commissioning assistance
• Red-lining of IFC drawings
• Ensure proper application of company testing and commissioning procedures.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team.
• Ensure strong integration of E&I details with civil, process, and mechanical designs.

Technical Competence

Strong command of company standards, specifications, design criteria, and commissioning procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• B.Tech / B.Eng (NQF Level 7) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Formal Project Management training beneficial
• Minimum of 10 years’ industrial (operational) experience in a mining or plant environment
• At least 6 years in a Project Management capacity
