About you

Although you may appear as a pleasant person on the surface, the ugly truth is that you are a stickler for detail, you're more organised than a wedding planner, a hunter(ess) for amazing deals, and a bulldog when it comes to negotiating. It'll even work in your favour if you understand consumers and the buying process.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform various administrative jobs.
  • Help with day-to-day tasks such as following up on emails or calls, reminding the account manager of tasks to get done, ensuring the day-to-day runs smoothly and ensuring all departments have the necessary information to proceed with the deals loaded.
  • Put together amazing deals.
  • Conduct market research.
  • Maintain and cultivate relationships.
  • Ensure products are loaded onto the backend with accuracy and relevant information.
  • Help the account manager(s) monitor and track suppliers to increase overall growth.
  • Present deals and technical information in an easy-to-understand and engaging manner.
  • Compile accurate spreadsheets and gather all required information before loading deals, attending meetings, or preparing for sales campaigns.
  • Test and evaluate new products, understanding quality requirements.
  • Possess a tertiary qualification (preferably BSc / BCom degree) or completed Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics Management.
  • Have at least 1 year of demonstrated sales or relevant experience.
  • Have a good understanding of planning and the logistics process related to the product.
  • Possess excellent people skills and be intuitive to customer business needs.
  • Be able to work independently and within a team.
  • Exhibit sound analytical, organisational, multitasking, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Be system-savvy, utilising them to increase productivity aligned with business strategy.
  • Be competent in all computer packages, including Outlook, Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint, and Internet.
  • Show great attention to detail, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to work under pressure and embrace feedback.
  • Be detail- and goal-oriented.
  • Be a fast learner who adapts easily to changing environments.
  • Value resilience and demonstrate it consistently.
