Placements24 is seeking an E-commerce Content & Social Media Specialist to strengthen our client's online presence from Klerksdorp. You will create product descriptions, blog posts, and social posts, while optimizing content for search and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, English or Journalism.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in content creation, copywriting and social media management, preferably in e‑commerce.
• Proven ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive copy for online audiences.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and keyword research.
• Experience managing social media platforms and using scheduling tools.
• Proficiency in CMS and basic HTML.
• Excellent proofreading and editing skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimize product descriptions, website copy and marketing content for the e‑commerce platform.
• Develop and manage a content calendar for social channels, aligning with brand voice and marketing goals.
• Produce high‑quality visual and written content for posts, stories, and ads.
• Grow and manage the company’s social media presence on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Apply SEO best practices to improve search rankings for product pages and content.
• Monitor trends, feedback and competitors to inform content strategy.
• Engage with the online community, respond to comments and messages.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure cohesive campaigns.
• Analyze website traffic and social metrics to measure content effectiveness.
• Assist with email marketing and other digital initiatives as needed.
