Job description

The E-commerce Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce department. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring smooth order fulfillment, accurate product listings, and the timely delivery of customer orders. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and have a strong interest in online retail operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Fulfillment & Logistics:
  • Assist with picking, packing, and booking orders for dispatch.
  • Coordinate with couriers and update tracking information.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order processing.
  • Product Content & Listings:
  • Assist in uploading new products to our websites and other platforms, ensuring all product details are accurate.
  • Edit and optimize product photos using Canva and Photoshop.
  • Organically write and proofread product descriptions, ensuring consistency in tone and branding.

  • Stock & Inventory Support:
  • Help with regular stock takes and inventory checks.
  • Update inventory records in spreadsheets and e-commerce platforms.
  • Flag any discrepancies or stock issues to the e-commerce team.
  • Administrative & General Support:
  • Maintain organized digital folders for product images and documentation.
  • Assist in updating promotional materials and website banners as needed.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the e-commerce and warehouse teams.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, sorting/filtering, data entry).
  • Familiar with Canva for quick design tasks and image edits.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for photo editing and resizing.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar) is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in an e-commerce or warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential.
