We are looking for an experienced System Analyst with strong technical expertise in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central to support and enhance our Policy Administration System.

This is a 12-month renewable contract.

Location: Parktown, Johannesburg

Work Setup: Hybrid – 3 days in the office per week (team to align on the same days)

Work Hours: 6:30 AM start time to allow cross-over with the Australia team

Key Responsibilities:

1. System analysis, architecture, and documentation
2. Enhancing business logic & ensuring seamless integrations
3. Conducting system testing, UAT, and performance testing
4. Overseeing deployments and API connections
5. Acting as a Tech Lead, mentoring junior developers

Requirements:

1. 5+ years in system analysis, ERP solutions, or software development
2. Strong hands-on experience with MS Dynamics ERP & Business Central
3. Experience with testing, deployment, and system integrations
4. Leadership skills & ability to mentor junior developers
5. Insurance / financial services industry experience is a plus

Skills Required:

1. An understanding of insurance (any) is highly beneficial; if not insurance, at least a financial services background would be non-negotiable
2. Server, Network, security, and cloud hosting understanding with a proven track record of these skills
3. SQL Development and SQL DBA background
4. Proven skills in implementing Manual and Automation Testing and Deployment (CI / CD) processes
5. Software Development and Software architecture exposure
6. People management skills – performance management, mentoring, and team structuring
7. Project management experience – Agile and Waterfall exposure and ability to implement a formal project management and stakeholder engagement framework
8. Strong English communicator at all levels up to exec stakeholder comms level
9. Business and System Analysis skills including proven track record in formulating and documenting BRS, FRS, and agile style specifications
10. Information Technology, Engineering degree or similar
