Job summary

Placements24 in Paarl, Western Cape, is seeking a diligent Warehouse Operative to support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, unloading, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments.

The role requires physical fitness, reliability, and the ability to work as a team in a busy environment while adhering to safety regulations. Experience in warehousing is preferred; training and protective clothing are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
• Physically demanding tasks requiring lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory procedures.
• Reliable, punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Awareness of health and safety practices in a warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods against purchase orders.
• Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently according to dispatch lists.
• Organize and maintain stock with proper labeling.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (if certified) and pallet jacks safely.
• Assist with stocktaking and inventory counts as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
