Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to support our event team in Mahikeng. You will help set up food and beverages, serve guests, and maintain clean service areas, working under the Catering Manager to deliver memorable experiences.

This position offers hands-on learning in catering and hospitality, with opportunities to grow within a dynamic events environment and take part in diverse, upcoming events.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, hospitality, or similar role.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and arrangement of food and beverage stations for events.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of event spaces and service areas.
• Support the catering team with replenishing supplies and clearing tables.
• Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of event sites post-service.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to ensure event protocols are met.
