Job summary

Curro seeks to appoint a Temp Business Studies Teacher (FET Phase) at Meridian Rustenburg in Rustenburg to commence duties in January 2027. The role involves teaching and coordinating a range of subjects as per the Curro curriculum for the FET phase, with emphasis on knowledge transfer and learner growth.

The position is temporary/contract, requiring strong planning, assessment and communication skills, and willingness to work extended hours and weekends.

Qualifications

• BEd and/or PGCE in FET phase education; honours in education advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an FET phase teacher.
• Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum.
• Proven facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills.
• Willing and able to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate subjects per Curro curriculum for the FET phase.
• Set up and monitor term plans; differentiate learning materials for barriers to learning.
• Create baseline assessments; guide subject choices and remedial plans.
• Plan and manage the classroom, assessments, and communication with learners/parents.
• Plan and manage assessments (formal/continuous) and homework; supervise moderation.
• Organise extramural activities and learner outings; provide tutoring when needed.
