Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
• Proven broadcast journalism experience with published or aired work.
• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with video editing software and newsroom systems.
• Strong reporting and interviewing abilities; detail-oriented.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and respond to breaking news.

Responsibilities

• Research, write, and edit news stories for television and digital platforms.
• Conduct interviews with newsmakers, public officials, and everyday citizens.
• Shoot and edit video footage as needed, or work closely with camera operators and editors.
• Present news reports on-air, adhering to journalistic standards of accuracy and fairness.
• Develop and maintain a network of contacts within the community and relevant industries.
• Collaborate with producers and the news team to identify compelling story ideas and angles.
