Job summary

Job description

We are looking for someone who will be able to fulfill the following requirements:

To provide inbound and outbound telephonic services to internal and external clients based on the requirements of the specific projects to which the agent may be allocated.

Key Performance Areas:

Receipt and handling of inbound & outbound calls.

  • Ensure that calls are answered promptly, handled efficiently, politely, and professionally.
  • Pay careful attention to the information provided by the caller.
  • Provide accurate information or instructions to the caller if required.
  • Listen carefully to understand the call accurately.
  • Accurately comprehend the information provided.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the information relating to the call.

Preparation of reports (as required) and accurate record-keeping.

  • Accurately capture details received from calls.
  • Produce professional and detailed reports.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all tip-off reports.
  • Evaluate the urgency and sensitivity of information received and demonstrate sound judgment in prioritizing and escalating matters.

Quality and risk management.

  • Adhere to all controls implemented to protect confidentiality and the anonymity of whistleblowers.

General administration.

  • Follow correct procedures.
  • Provide assistance where required.

About You

You would need to have the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of a matric qualification plus 2-3 years of experience in a customer service-oriented position is required.
  • Any formal qualification will be an advantage.

You would need to have the following experience and technical competencies:

  • 2-3 years of experience, preferably in a contact centre.
  • Excellent command, i.e., 100% fluency in Dutch and English is essential.
  • Fluency in any other foreign language (e.g., Arabic, French, Spanish, German) is an advantage.
  • Fluency in any other South African official language would be preferred and advantageous.
  • Ability to work shifts, including public holidays and weekends (project and call centre dependent).
