Job summary

Placements24 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, seeks a Regional Sales Director to steer FMCG sales across the province. You will develop ambitious strategies, manage a sales team, and build strong relationships with retail partners to drive market penetration.

This executive role offers strategic autonomy, exposure to major retailers, and opportunities to shape growth. You will travel extensively within KwaZulu-Natal and occasionally nationally, reporting to the executive team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of sales experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven track record in FMCG sales within KwaZulu-Natal and Durban.
• Strong relationships with key retail partners and distributors.
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel extensively within KwaZulu-Natal and nationally.
• Degree required; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet targets for KwaZulu-Natal.
• Lead and coach a high-performing sales team.
• Build and nurture relationships with key retail accounts and distributors.
• Analyze market trends and competitors to identify new opportunities.
• Manage the regional sales budget and ensure profitable growth.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations and product teams.
• Monitor performance, provide feedback, and implement forecasts.
• Represent the company at industry events in Durban and across KwaZulu-Natal.
