Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a DTP Operator (Layout Artist) in Cape Town. The role requires strong layout skills and experience in a reputable agency to produce leaflets and POS from concept to completion.

You will ensure brand consistency, work under deadlines, and collaborate with the creative team to deliver effective marketing materials. Proficiency in Adobe CS6 is essential, with retouching ability advantageous.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• Appropriate degree or qualification in Desk Top Publishing.
• 3–5 years experience in a DTP/Layout Artist role within a reputable agency.
• Retail layout experience is beneficial.
• Strong layout skills.
• Multitask, deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite 6 (InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop).
• Retouching ability advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting briefs to the brief objectives.
• Layout and design leaflets and POS from inception to completion.
• Ensure consistency of all Layout and design material to brand guidelines.
• Meticulous attention to detail & ability to problem solve in a challenging retail environment.
• Work closely with creative team to develop effective marketing communications.
• Efficiently manage and check own artwork.
