We are looking for a talented mid-level DTP layout artist and graphic designer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong visual eye, excellent organisational skills, a confident client-facing approach and the ability to produce accurate work under pressure.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Translate reference materials, CI guidelines and design briefs into clear digital concepts that guide manufacturing and production teams with accuracy and confidence.
- Develop an understanding of cost considerations and apply them thoughtfully throughout the design process.
- Manage multiple projects confidently and coordinate tasks with the production team when required.
- Collaborate effectively within a fast-moving team environment.
- Bring a meticulous eye for detail to every project.
- Apply strong DTP skills and practical print-production knowledge to deliver production-ready work.
- Work confidently with spot colours and print-specific colour requirements.
- Bring experience in 3D work, SketchUp and CAD software; these skills will be a strong advantage.
- Have experience in the retail sector.
- Have experience with events and display work.
- Show curiosity, flexibility and a willingness to learn in fast-paced situations.
- Stay focused and organised when managing high-pressure jobs and demanding workflows.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in written and spoken English, as the role involves English-speaking clients and international platforms.
What we’re looking for
- Proficiency on both Apple and PC platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Advanced Adobe Creative Cloud skills, particularly in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro, with a strongunderstanding of how each application supports professional design and production workflows.
- A working understanding of prepress systems and print-ready production requirements.
- A solid foundation in die cutting, packaging and point-of-sale design.
- Hands-on print experience is essential.
- At least three years’ relevant experience, including solid print experience.
- Own transport.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- A diploma or degree in visual arts, graphic design or a related field.
- Experience with Adobe Dimension, 3D software, SketchUp and CAD software is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work occasional extended hours and weekends when projects or peak periods require it.
Shortlisted candidates will complete a one-hour skills test. Salary is market-related and will be based on experience.
