Job description

Ecowize is looking for an experienced Reach Truck Driver who will be responsible for material handling of a variety of items to various warehouse locations. The successful candidate will operate a reach truck and forklift for picking, binning, moving items, and loading/unloading from transport vehicles.

High level – Objectives :

• Picking and binning / receiving items in the warehouse and yard facility.
• Loading and unloading cargo.
• Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Ensuring that material handling equipment is well maintained and faults are reported.
• Adhering to the picking schedule to ensure timely completion of loads.

Key responsibilities :

• Effective stock control of receipt and transfer of stock (incoming and outgoing).
• Accurate checking, scanning, and receipt of stock, following all receiving and stock control policies and procedures.
• Planning and coordinating physical verifications of products/stacks against picking slips and delivery notes.
• Conducting and logging quality checks (product temperatures) on incoming and outgoing products.
• Verifying stock information on the computerized system.
• Checking stacks to ensure compliance with quality standards and stacking requirements.
• Logging all non-conforming pallets on delivery notes and control documents.
• Complying with the 20 Keys continuous workplace improvement program and other management systems.
