Job summary

HEINEKEN Beverages is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Driver based in Sec Production, Wadeville, reporting to the Warehouse Controller. Duties include safe forklift operation, daily pre-use checks, stacking and loading goods, and maintaining stock movement records.

Requirements: Grade 12, English proficiency, valid forklift licence, 1–2 years’ forklift experience in a warehouse, knowledge of loading/unloading trucks, safety compliance, teamwork and communication, and medical fitness.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• English proficiency.
• A valid forklift driver's license (essential).
• 1–2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment.
• Proven knowledge of loading and unloading of trucks.
• Experience handling finished goods or FMCG products is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of safe working procedures and warehouse safety.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet dispatch deadlines.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to support broader warehouse tasks when needed.
• Medical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Operate the forklift safely and efficiently in line with company standards.
• Conduct and complete a daily forklift pre-use checklist and report any defects.
• Stack, retrieve, and transport products as per instructions and SOPs.
• Load finished goods onto trucks and transport vehicles, ensuring stability and product integrity.
• Prevent product damage or breakages during movement and loading.
• Ensure correct stock count before dispatching.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to stock movement and loading.
• Ensure compliance with all safety rules, site procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Participate in TPM activities and continuous improvement routines.
• Proactively report unsafe conditions/acts and near misses.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives and team performance.
