Job summary

Heineken in Wadeville Production, within the Warehouse Department, invites applications for a forklift operator role. The successful candidate will report to the Warehouse Team Leader and support daily warehouse tasks to ensure timely dispatch of finished goods.

Requirements include Grade 12/Matric, 1–2 years forklift experience, safety awareness, English literacy, and strong teamwork. Medical fitness is preferred to maintain site safety standards.

Qualifications

• Forklift operating experience in a warehouse environment.
• Loading and unloading of trucks.
• Solid understanding of warehouse safety and safe working procedures.
• Proficient in reading/writing English.
• Ability to meet dispatch deadlines and work under pressure.
• Willingness to support broader warehouse tasks when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate the forklift safely and efficiently.

• Stack, retrieve and transport products per instructions and SOPs.
• Load finished goods onto trucks ensuring stability and product integrity.
• Maintain accurate stock movement documentation.

Job description

Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based in Wadeville Production, within the Warehouse Department. The successful candidate will report to the Warehouse Team Leader.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Operate the forklift safely and efficiently in line with company standards
• Conduct and complete a daily forklift pre-use checklist and report any defects
• Stack, retrieve, and transport products as per instructions and SOPs
• Load finished goods onto trucks and transport vehicles, ensuring stability and product integrity
• Prevent product damage or breakages during movement and loading
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to stock movement and loading
• Ensure compliance with all safety rules, site procedures, and PPE requirements
• Participate in TPM activities and continuous improvement routines
• Proactively report unsafe conditions/acts and near misses
• Contribute to innovation initiatives and team performance

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• 1–2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment
• Proven knowledge of loading and unloading of trucks
• Experience handling finished goods or FMCG products is advantageous
• Solid understanding of safe working procedures and warehouse safety
• Proficient in English, reading and writing
• Ability to work under pressure and meet dispatch deadlines
• Strong teamwork and communication skillsWillingness to support broader warehouse tasks when needed
