Job description

Ecowize is looking for a licensed and experienced Driver to join the Supply Chain team in Cape Town. The Driver will be responsible for delivering and collecting a variety of items to various locations. Regular and clear communication to all parties involved in the transport process is a crucial part of the skill set required.

High-level Job Objectives
  • Complete delivery schedules and report incidents.
  • Load and unload cargo.
  • Adhere to and maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Be proactive in providing feedback and solutions to all parties relating to on-time delivery of orders to sites.
  • Identify and communicate own development gaps to ensure consistent high performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Follow routes and time schedules to ensure deliveries take place on time.
  • Ensure correct stock was issued and dispatched daily.
  • Ensure that accurate Proof Of Delivery (POD) records are kept and handed back to the administration office for filing.
  • Effectively manage customer complaints.
  • Perform daily checks on vehicles and report potential safety issues or service needs.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles containing a variety of supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings and take action where necessary.
  • Highlight possible areas of concern to the direct manager and category manager proactively and suggest action plans.
  • Escalate current issues to the direct manager, indicating level of priority and suggested plan of action.
  • Identify and communicate own development gaps to ensure consistent high performance in line with company goals.
