Job summary

IZI South Africa is seeking a dedicated custodian of vehicles and assets responsible for CIT services and operational deployment. You will uphold company policies and SOPs while ensuring readiness for each shift.

Key duties include pre/post shift inspections, incident reporting, strict security compliance, and safe driving within legal requirements. Candidates must hold PDP, PSIRA Grade C, CIT certification, and firearm credentials, with clear records.

Qualifications

• PDP license, PSIRA Grade C, CIT certification, and firearm competency are required.
• No credit or criminal records are mandatory.
• Directorship prohibition applies (not to be a director).
• Pre-employment screening and training will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle & Equipment Inspections before and after each shift.
• Incident & Safety Reporting to Control Room and authorities.
• Security & Compliance including gear, drills and access.
• Safe Driving in line with Road Traffic Act and safety standards.
• Route & Schedule Management per route optimization rules.
• Operational Logistics: ensure radios, scanners, keys functional; refuel and clean vehicle.

Job description

Job Introduction

This role is responsible for accepting accountability and responsibility by becoming the custodian of the IZI vehicle and assets, during operational deployment and performing Cash in Transit (CIT) services for dedicated schedule, whilst ensuring compliance with all companies policies, driver operating procedures and directives

Main Responsibilities

1. Vehicle & Equipment Inspections: Perform mechanical roadworthiness checks and system inspections before and after each shift, escalating any defects to management.


2. Incident & Safety Reporting: Immediately report accidents, suspicious activities, or vehicle immobilizations to the Control Room and relevant authorities.


3. Security & Compliance: Adhere to mandatory security principles, including wearing protective gear, performing security drills, and obtaining authorization before exiting the vehicle.


4. Safe Driving: Operate company vehicles in compliance with the Road Traffic Act and company health and safety standards.


5. Route & Schedule Management: Execute scheduled trips according to route optimization practices and report any deviations or delays to the Control Room.


6. Operational Logistics: Ensure all necessary equipment (radios, scanners, keys) is functional and that the vehicle is refuelled and cleaned for the next shift.
