Job summary

Staff Vision seeks an Architectural Draftsperson to translate designs into precise architectural drawings for construction. You will produce floor plans, elevations, sections and details using CAD tools under supervision, contributing to a range of projects in the Western Cape.

The role requires a National Diploma in Architectural Technology and 3–5 years of drafting experience, with AutoCAD as essential and Revit experience highly advantageous.

Qualifications

• Recently completed a Drafting qualification at a recognized school or academy.
• Proficient in CAD software and able to produce accurate drawings.
• Strong understanding of architectural drafting standards and conventions.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Assist in BIM development and documentation using Revit.
• Prepare specifications and schedules for materials and finishes.
• Coordinate drawings with structural and mechanical engineers.
• Ensure drawings comply with SA building codes and standards.

You will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed architectural drawings and documentation under the supervision of architects and designers. This role is crucial for ensuring that design concepts are translated effectively into technical plans suitable for construction. Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details using CAD software.
• Assist in the development of BIM models and documentation using Revit.

• Coordinate drawings with other disciplines, such as structural and mechanical engineers.
• Ensure that all drawings comply with relevant building codes and standards in South Africa .
• Maintain organized digital and physical drawing files for easy retrieval and project management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Architectural Draftsperson or similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit is highly advantageous.
