Job summary

South African National Blood Service invites applications for a Donation Testing Technologist in Roodepoort. The role performs rotational routine Virology, Blood Grouping and NAT testing in the Donation Testing Department, and provides cross-functional support when specialists are unavailable.

You must be HPCSA-registered as Medical Technologist (Blood Transfusion) with at least one year in blood transfusion. Overtime and night shifts may be rostered.

Qualifications

• HPCSA registered Medical Technologist (Blood Transfusion).
• Minimum 1 year Blood Transfusion experience.
• Ability to perform rotational routine Virology, Blood Grouping and NAT testing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Instrument and Laboratory Maintenance and quality compliance according to SOPs.
• Provide additional support when technical specialists are unavailable.
• Overtime and night shift may be rostered as required.
