Domestic & Commercial Claims Consultant

Compendium Insurance Brokers is looking for a Domestic and Commercial Claims Consultant based in our JHB offices.

Responsibilities:

1. Claims registered on Flexi within 24 hours upon notification by client.
2. Diary entry to accounts immediately upon registration of claim.
3. Following appointment of loss adjustor/assessor, diarise until authorization received.
4. Claim payments to be requested within 2 days of receipt of signed agreement of loss/invoice from supplier received.
5. Diary entry for salvage to be noted if applicable.
6. Estimates to be accurately maintained at all times.
7. Diary entry for all claims in excess of R50, not covered under the policy or rejected by insurer, appointed to your manager immediately.
8. Recovery and 3rd party matters to be referred once all documentation is on file and diarized to follow up.
9. Claims over settling mandate to be referred to insurers within 1 day of registering claim or as soon as quantum is confirmed.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Matric.
2. NQFL4 (credits).
3. RE Qualification.
4. Minimum 5 years' experience dealing with domestic & commercial claims.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong attention to detail.
7. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
8. Proficiency in industry-specific systems.
9. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets and deadlines.
10. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
11. Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
12. Ability to keep abreast of industry development and best practices.
13. Effective time management and organisational skills.
