Job description

The Domestic Assistant is part of the care team and as such works with other staff and maintains a clean and safe environment for all Service Users and staff.

Benefits require completion of a 12-week probationary period before they can be accessed. Benefits are subject to deductions and should not reduce colleagues' pay below the National Living Wage.

Main duties :

1. Promote the Company Mission Statement at all times.
2. Ensure the Home's furniture, furnishings, and fittings are sufficiently clean.
3. Ensure all surfaces of floors, walls, and ceilings are sufficiently clean.
4. Clean carpets when necessary.
5. Empty wastebaskets and yellow/black bins daily, ensuring waste is disposed of safely in line with requirements.
6. Clean all internal windows monthly.
7. Thoroughly clean all bedrooms once a week on a rota basis.
8. Ensure that the communal areas are cleaned daily.
9. Ensure all sinks, en-suites, bathrooms, and toilets are cleaned daily.
10. Chemicals must be stored in line with the COSHH requirements.
11. Re-stock paper products and dispensers.

• Professional: Have an understanding of the Health and Social Care Act; able to manage pressure, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively at all levels; demonstrate care and compassion; be a team player; capable of working in a physically and mentally demanding environment.
