Cancer Partners of Nebraska is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and highly organized DME Coordinator to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you'll ensure patients receive the right durable medical equipment (DME), fitted perfectly and delivered with education, empathy, and excellence.
Please note: This position is contingent upon successful completion of the Certified Mastectomy Fitter (CMF) Accreditation within five (5) months of employment. 8-10 weeks of clinic training in Lincoln is required to obtain the necessary certification hours.
What You'll Do:
- Provide personalized fittings for mastectomy and non-prescription products
- Educate patients on their equipment and answer their questions with care and clarity
- Ensure all documentation and insurance verifications are complete and accurate
- Maintain confidentiality, cleanliness, and compliance with all clinic protocols
- Monitor inventory, manage product orders, and maintain vendor relationships
- Promote DME services within the community and through marketing efforts
- Collaborate with rehabilitation professionals to support optimal patient outcomes
- Stay current with training, credentials, and DME industry knowledge
What You Bring:
Education & Training:
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor's degree in science preferred
- Must obtain Certified Mastectomy Fitter Accreditation within five (5) months of hire
- Complete training hours with Lincoln office
Experience:
- Prior healthcare or PT/OT Tech experience preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong grasp of DME and OT best practices
- Customer service expertise and a team-focused mindset
- Familiarity with HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare regulations
- Clear and compassionate communicator, both verbal and written
- Professional, calm, and confident under pressure
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, reaching
- Full range of motion and manual dexterity
- Clear vision and hearing, with occasional stress related to patient care
