Job summary

andBeyond is seeking a DMC Retail Travel Specialist to creatively plan and manage itineraries for an exceptional travel experience. Responsibilities include overseeing bookings and optimizing the guest experience while upholding the company's core values. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of tour consulting experience and a strong knowledge of travel processes in South Africa and the surrounding regions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 – 5 years previous tour consulting experience required.
• In-depth knowledge of South Africa, Southern and East Africa preferable.
• A willingness and aptitude to learn.

Responsibilities

• Manage the reservations process for bookings ensuring guest budget is achieved.
• Handle bookings from quote to finalizing, invoicing, and travel documents.
• Proactive selling of products ensuring the best possible safari for guests.

KEY OUTPUTS :

• Creative planning and designing of itineraries
• Managing the reservations process for bookings in a manner which ensures guest budget is achieved
• Handling of bookings from quote to finalising, invoicing and travel documents

• Emergency duty will be on a rotational basis as per the DMC Emergency BOP
• Working hours early and late shift on a weekly rotational basis

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED :
