Distribution Manager - Food Warehousing - Witbank

Our client, a well-established food manufacturing company, is looking to employ a qualified Distribution Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Organising the safe and efficient receipt and dispatch of warehouse goods.
2. Optimally utilise and retain long-term value of the fleet.
3. Provide a logistics service to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of inbound and outbound logistics.
4. Coordinate inter-company transfers to storage facilities at a market-related cost while driving profitability for the logistics function.
5. Manage the fleet to ensure reliability, optimal utilisation, and long-term value retention.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. At least 5 years’ logistics experience managing a fleet of long- and short-distance vehicles.
2. Diploma in Logistics Management or equivalent qualification.
3. Additional supply chain qualifications are advantageous.
4. Results-driven with a focus on adding value.
5. Advanced computer literacy.
6. Knowledge of warehousing.
7. Budgeting and cost management skills.
8. Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
