We are looking for an experienced Dispatch Manager for an FMCG company based in Centurion within the frozen food industry.
The Dispatch Manager oversees the scheduling and safe dispatch of all online and retail orders.
The candidate uses their expert knowledge of logistics, scheduling, and transportation regulations to ensure efficient and compliant operations.

Requirements:
Matric
5-10 years Management experience
Transport / Logistics experience 3-6 years
Qualification would be an advantage
Ability to use multiple systems and multitask in a fast-paced environment
In-depth knowledge of the Road Traffic Act, legislation, and transport
Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office and ERP system)
Commercial prowess and proven ability in the customer service environment
Excellent knowledge of handling commodities (fresh, frozen, and dry)
Must be bilingual (Afrikaans & English)
Highly collaborative and focused on teamwork
Leadership skills – display qualities of a good leader and set an example
Result oriented
Strong focus on customer satisfaction and implementation of opportunities for improvement
Strategic thinker with good analytical skills
A self-starter that is comfortable with constant change
Responsibilities:
Loading of trucks safely and effectively
Work closely with transport companies to coordinate the movement of orders not within delivery regions
Ensure that the cargo/orders are always protected (boxes, sealed, wrapped) for transportation
Inspect orders to ensure the correct quantities and products match what was invoiced to the recipients
Implementation of transport policies, systems, and standards that will improve customer service
Ensure that customer orders are delivered safely, effectively, and efficiently and in line with the FSMS (Food Safety Management System) requirements
Ensure that all vehicles are maintained following company standards and aligned with the Road Traffic Act
Inventory: Continually maximise space utilization
Implement and practice FIFO at all times
Plan, coordinate, manage, and coordinate the movement of all outgoing orders
Plan and conduct the stock counts as per the company's management guidelines
Management: Willingness to lead by example and, when/where necessary, get involved at floor level to ensure delivery at the correct standard and/or method
Drive and motivate the team to achieve targets
Ensure company policies and procedures are communicated to the team, managing and resolving people-related problems, including but not limited to resolving employees' conflict of interests and absenteeism
Manage and maintain a highly motivated work environment
