Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Stock Verification and Dispatch Control

  • Ensure accurate picking, scanning, and loading of stock for dispatch.
  • Receive stock from various sources, verifying quality and quantity.
  • Manage stock processes as per company policies.
  • Maintain FIFO (First In First Out) principles to ensure stock efficiency.
  • Conduct voltage checks on inbound and outbound stock.
  • Accurately complete debriefing processes for returned deliveries.
  • Support weekly and monthly stock counts for inventory accuracy.

2. Customer Service and Documentation

  • Provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Assist in receiving, cleaning, and relabeling stock as needed.
  • Process debriefing, invoice reconciliation, and documentation collection.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate administrative records.
  • Address and resolve driver and delivery-related issues efficiently.
  • Escalate any potential delays that could impact service levels.

3. Compliance and Warehouse Maintenance

  • Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
  • Keep all paperwork updated, including voltage checks and packing slips.
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and follow safe handling procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
  • Conduct inspections of warehouse equipment and report any issues.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Certification or training in warehouse operations (advantageous)

Experience:

  • 12 years experience in a warehouse environment with stock handling responsibilities.
  • Experience in dispatching, receiving, and debriefing processes.
  • Familiarity with warehouse logistics, stock control, and inventory management.
  • Forklift license (preferred depending on warehouse needs).
  • Awareness of Dangerous Goods Handling.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing requirements.
