Job description

Our Supported Independent Living Services

We assist individuals to live comfortably and independently in shared housing or their own homes by providing support with daily tasks such as personal care and meal preparation. These roles are suitable for individuals who can work flexibly across a 24/7 roster, including sleepovers, which is a REQUIREMENT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care (e.g., bathing, shaving, toileting) and manual handling.
  • Provide behavioural support for clients with significant behaviours of concern and high medical needs.
  • Support individuals facing mental health challenges and disabilities, empowering them to reach their full potential and improve their wellbeing.
  • Follow person-centred support plans while maintaining flexibility to meet individual needs and preferences.
  • Document and track the changing needs of clients through thorough recordkeeping.
  • Advocate for client choice and control in a safe, compliant manner, fostering a sense of belonging within their community.
Skills & Experience
  • Experience with behaviours of concern and mental health supports is required.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011).
  • Current Mental Health First Aid Certificate is highly regarded.
  • Unrestricted NSW driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including public holidays.
  • Basic proficiency with technology and software on mobile and desktop devices.

Successful candidates will need to pass all relevant state-based probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
