Qualifications

  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be willing to obtain).
  • Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003.

  • Must have Drivers Licence and Full Comprehensive Insurance.

Lifestyle Solutions provide innovative and flexible personcentered support for people living with a disability. Support Worker to assist a customer to become more independent in their own home and in the community.

As a Support Worker your responsibilities will include :

  • Mentoring and skill development guiding customers to explore and develop their personal interests / hobbies
  • Coaching independent living skills such as cooking domestic and social skills
  • Administering medication and adherence to individual support plans
  • Completing clear concise and factual handover notes and incident reports
  • Providing personal care such as toileting showering feeding and dressing when required
  • Helping customers engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities
  • Personal care is a must and must be comfortable and knowledgeable in doing so.
  • Diabetes knowledge or training is ideal
  • Peg feeding knowledge is ideal
  • Community Access will also be a requirement at certain times.

  • Be willing to be work a variety of shifts which includes mornings afternoons evenings awake shifts sleepovers and weekends
  • Versatile communication skills including the ability to interact with both verbal and nonverbal customers
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be willing to obtain)
  • Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003
  • Formal qualifications in Disability Community Services or similar would be advantageous
