Job description

Job Title: Director: Security and Facilities Management

Location: Gauteng, Pretoria

Deadline: May 28, 2025

Requirements
  • An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF level 7) in Security Management, Property Management, Project Management, Operations Management, Risk Management, Police Management, or a related qualification.
  • A minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years’ work experience in Security and Facilities Management, including at least five (5) years at middle/senior management level. Knowledge of Public Service and NSF mandates and strategies.
Duties
  1. Manage and develop NSF security policies, maintain and upgrade internal security policies according to the MISS document, MPSS, and related government policies on Security Management.
  2. Develop and implement Facilities Management Improvement Programmes aligned with NSF operational requirements; review stakeholder service level agreements to enhance relationships.
  3. Develop and maintain security awareness and training capacities for NSF staff.
  4. Identify security risks and vulnerabilities within NSF and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  5. Implement and monitor Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies across NSF premises.
  6. Manage security at private residences of officials, including project management of security measures.
  7. Oversee personnel security vetting, clearance, physical security, and access control, including contractor management.
  8. Manage contract portfolios, ensuring compliance with security directives issued by controlling institutions such as NIA, SAPS, and COMSEC.
  9. Develop guidelines for contract management and facilitate awareness workshops within the organization.
  10. Plan and monitor space utilization and ensure building compliance.
  11. Manage security service providers and contractors effectively.
