Requirements
- An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF level 7) in Security Management, Property Management, Project Management, Operations Management, Risk Management, Police Management, or a related qualification.
- A minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years’ work experience in Security and Facilities Management, including at least five (5) years at middle/senior management level. Knowledge of Public Service and NSF mandates and strategies.
Duties
- Manage and develop NSF security policies, maintain and upgrade internal security policies according to the MISS document, MPSS, and related government policies on Security Management.
- Develop and implement Facilities Management Improvement Programmes aligned with NSF operational requirements; review stakeholder service level agreements to enhance relationships.
- Develop and maintain security awareness and training capacities for NSF staff.
- Identify security risks and vulnerabilities within NSF and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Implement and monitor Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies across NSF premises.
- Manage security at private residences of officials, including project management of security measures.
- Oversee personnel security vetting, clearance, physical security, and access control, including contractor management.
- Manage contract portfolios, ensuring compliance with security directives issued by controlling institutions such as NIA, SAPS, and COMSEC.
- Develop guidelines for contract management and facilitate awareness workshops within the organization.
- Plan and monitor space utilization and ensure building compliance.
- Manage security service providers and contractors effectively.
