Director of Sales & Marketing – Leading Caribbean Hospitality Group

Jamaica (Regional remit across multiple islands)

NOTE. This role is advertised in Cape Town, South Africa. The role is based in Jamaica, in the Caribbean. The employer envisages hiring an expat from South Africa (or another country) to take up the role in Jamaica. Relocation assistance is provided.

Few opportunities in the Caribbean hospitality market come with this level of commercial influence, scope, and creativity.

We’re working with a renowned multi-venue operator whose restaurants, lifestyle concepts, and airport concessions have become synonymous with vibrant Caribbean hospitality. With a footprint spanning 50+ locations across the region, the group has just delivered record-breaking revenues and continues to roll out innovative new concepts designed to delight international travellers and local guests alike.

Now, they’re seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing to lead revenue growth, brand positioning, and strategic partnerships across the Caribbean.

The Role

This is a senior executive position, reporting to the Executive Team and working closely with venue managers, operations, and marketing leaders. You’ll oversee both the strategy and execution of sales and marketing, ensuring that the group remains competitive, profitable, and visible across all markets.

Responsibilities
  • Sales Leadership & Growth – drive sales volume through surrounding resorts, cruise ships, tour operators, destination management companies (DMCs) and local businesses.
  • Revenue Management – maximise revenue and occupancy of all properties by developing dynamic rates and strategies; monitor group performance, traffic, and profitability across all profit centres.
  • Pricing Strategy – motivate managers and sales reps to apply pricing strategies daily, adjusting in line with demand and market conditions.
  • Campaigns & Positioning – work with the marketing team to identify the most effective positioning for campaigns; develop and implement strategies that keep the group competitive.
  • Daily Commercial Focus – maintain close communication with the management team, reviewing performance, sharing insights, and refining strategy as required.
  • Events & Promotions – direct and coordinate company sales and marketing events, from concept to delivery.
  • Sales Methodology – develop and coordinate the sales cycle, tools, and processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Market Development – oversee the marketing function to identify and attract new guests; research and develop strategies that capture new opportunities and markets.
  • Performance Analysis – analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of sales methods, costs, and results, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Budget & Reporting – develop and manage sales and marketing budgets, oversee operating budgets, and deliver regular reports to the executive team.
  • PR & Community Engagement – plan and coordinate public affairs, communications, and community outreach to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  • Client & Account Management – directly manage key accounts, build long-term relationships with partners, vendors, and distributors, and ensure service levels meet expectations.
  • Brand & Materials – supervise the planning and development of marketing and communications materials.
  • Representation – represent the company at industry, community, and business events to strengthen presence and networks.
  • Team Development – recruit, evaluate, and supervise team members to build a motivated and high-performing department.
  • Leadership & Strategy – recommend and implement sales and marketing strategies, policies, and procedures; establish short- and long-term goals that align with the group’s growth ambitions.
Qualifications

About You

We’re seeking a commercially sharp, dynamic leader with a balance of analytical skill and creative execution.

  • 8–10 years’ plus senior sales and marketing leadership experience in hospitality, resorts, or large-scale leisure/entertainment (this is essential).
  • A proven track record of revenue management, pricing strategy, and consistent sales growth (highy desirable).
  • Strong analytical ability with the confidence to make data-driven decisions in fast-moving markets (highy desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence at all levels and build strong partnerships (highy desirable).
  • Experience managing multi-site operations and international markets (Caribbean experience advantageous) (highy desirable).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or Tourism (preferred) (highy desirable).
Why This Role?

This isn’t just another commercial leadership position. It’s a chance to shape the growth of one of the Caribbean’s most recognisable hospitality groups — a brand that blends regional vibrancy with global standards.

From high-traffic airport concessions to destination dining and lifestyle venues, you’ll have the resources, scope, and creative freedom to shape how millions of guests interact with the brand every year. Your work will directly influence growth, profitability, and reputation across the region.
