Qualifications

• 6+ Jahre Erfahrung in einer ähnlichen Rolle, idealerweise in der Hotellerie.
• Ausgezeichnete Kenntnisse der Sicherheitsprotokolle und Gesundheitsvorschriften.

Responsibilities

• Leitung aller Ermittlungen zu Diebstahl, Personenschäden und Lebensmittelsicherheit.
• Überwachung der Sicherheits-, Sicherheits- und Resilienzkommission.

Job description

As the Director of Safety & Security at Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel, you will direct and control the security and safety systems of the hotel. In this role, you are a proud custodian of the infrastructure and ensure the safety and well-being of our team members, guests, and visitors. Primary Responsibilities Include:

1. Direct all investigations regarding theft or damage of property, personal injury, and food safety occurring within the hotel grounds.
2. Coordinate with external agencies for all relevant HSSR requirements and ensure relevant contracts and SLAs are periodically reviewed and updated.
3. Manage all pest control initiatives, including regular servicing and recommendations for improvements.
4. Review the efficiency of all surveillance systems in the hotel and recommend improvements.
5. Implement the company’s Safety Management System and report monthly on the completion of tasks.
6. Own and implement the hotel’s Crisis and Business Continuity Management Plans and conduct training.
7. Oversee the Safety, Security, and Resilience Committee, including member coordination, meetings, ensuring points are actioned, and maintaining documentation.

What You Bring:

1. 6+ years of relevant experience within a similar role.
2. Experience within the hospitality industry is advantageous.
3. A relevant management or industry-related diploma or degree.
4. Excellent knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
5. Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
6. Thorough knowledge of modern surveillance and vigilance techniques, equipment, and systems.
7. Knowledge of fire safety measures, firefighting equipment, and alarm systems.
8. Good understanding of civil/criminal laws and investigation procedures.
